Meet Jewel Mohr, of Mohr Lactation and Structure and Function Education. We discuss how assessing and infants structure AND function is essential when working with any breastfeeding dyad. Jewel has developed structure and function classes- for the IBCLC, other provider (such as Pediatricians, Doula's, etc) and even for parents. Understanding structure and function of infant oral anatomy is the building block for working with breastfeeding dyads and should be step one for most providers.

Jessie Young has a thriving pediatric chiropractic practice, Young Spines, almost exclusively focused on TOTs babies, most seen and treated within 3 visits. Dr. Young has focused her continuing education over the years on pediatrics and women’s health. She is trained in a wide variety of techniques ranging from the most gentle touch using myofascial, kinesotaping and craniosacral techniques to more traditional approaches with modified gentle adjustments, exercise and graston techniques and most recently she added Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy to her tool belt. Melissa Cole has authored 5 studies, has a Masters of Science in Therapeutic Herbalism and a holistic approach to her practice. Some particular areas of interest for Melissa include: oral-motor issues, oral restrictions such as tongue and lip tie, structural issues, low milk supply, galactogogues, induced/adoptive lactation, lactation after loss, food allergies, gut and digestive health, clinical training, postpartum mood concerns, latch issues, respiratory concerns, managing complex lactation cases, and more. Melissa Cole is the owner of Luna Lactation in Portland.
